Yllka Gashi is an Albanian, Kosovo-born actress best known for her portrayal of Zana in the hit Albanian sitcom Familja Moderne. Yllka started her acting career at 17 after being cast on her first ever audition in 1999 and has since appeared in numerous stage productions and feature films. In 2015, she immigrated to the United States with her husband and young daughter. Yllka's American breakthrough came in Blerta Basholli's acclaimed HIVE which became the first film ever to win three major Sundance Film Festival Awards in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition. Yllka has also served as both a UNICEF Ambassador and as the face of Save The Children - Kosovo.
